black & blue: another fashion myth debunked on the blog today!

there are always those outfits you know women will appreciate more than men. for me this is definitely one of them…which is why it is perfect for a night out with my girls!

• I snagged these pants on a run to target (which we all know started as needing 2 grocery items and turned into a loaded cart at checkout) the pants are a statement themselves so i thought adding a gray tee and my vegan faux leather jacket would give it some edge but still keep it simple.

• it took me a while to find a leather jacket to invest in but i like the cut and sweater component of this one. my advice, take your time and find something a bit classic so you can use it for years.

• the final piece to this look surprised me! i kept pairing this with different black heels i have and nothing made me happy. i normally try not to combine too many statement pieces in one look but when i slipped these heels on i was obsessed! i also snagged these on a random run to target (obvs!) when Prabal Gurung had their line there.

moral of the story this week is don’t listen to fashion “rules” or what other people think you should wear. beat to your own drum, wear what you like, and have confidence in your individual style!
