My Current Skincare Favorites

I don’t touch on beauty a ton around here but since I’ve been trying to switch over my medicine cabinet to mostly ‘safe beauty’ products I thought I would share an update on some new brands I have found and some bargain products that are working great too! I honestly think that most brands and companies are moving towards this clean beauty standard and I’m happy that hopefully soon it won’t only be really expensive and exclusive brands.

Beauty stuff can get really pricey, really easily so I like to find a middle ground where I invest in some stuff and find ways to save with others. I don’t necessarily think that all things costly work better so I think testing things out is s great place to start.

Also, I didn’t start doing this till recently but test things out! I stop in Credo Beauty a lot. It’s a new all natural beauty store in Bucktown and they are simply the best. You can try out any and everything and take samples home of whatever you like. It’s been a great benefit because I can use something for a few days and then go back and purchase the one I actually love. I think most beauty stores will be helpful in that way so don’t be afraid to ask!

Back to the bargain skincare. My mother has used Oil of Olay her entire life! I don’t want to brag but my mom’s skin looks amazing and you would never know how old she is. She’s also never had a beauty treatment or any type of enhancement. Like I’m talking never had a facial…I try to make her but she doesn’t want it haha. Anyways, the point is yes I’m sure she has great genes but that moisturizer has served her well and it’s so affordable.

I tried to break down a few of the reasons why I love each and every one of these products and if you have any questions at all, feel free to reach out!

Oil of Olay Whips Moisturizer

I know I wrote about this previously but I really do love and use this moisturizer. It is really light and airy and doesn’t leave my skin feeling greasy. You can grab it at most drugstores and like I said, I’m a little partial to Oil of Olay. It’s great for any season but I’ve recently found a new moisturizer that has been helping me with my winter redness! Anyone else suffer from that awful dryness during the winter? I’ll be sharing all the details next week!

Tula Eye Cream

This is a great middle of the road eye cream! I have seen great resuts with it and it doesn’t break the bank!

M-61 Hydraboost Serum 2.0

A new indulgence that has been revolutionary for my skin. I’ve noticed a reduction in fine lines and it’s light and dewy underneath my moisturizer. It takes such a small amount and the first bottle is lasting forever.

M-61 Power Glow Peel

Ahhh, guys these are the best – you have to try them! I’ve been using them on both Trevor and I and love the way it makes my skin feel after. Also, yes I have to actually use them on Trevor because he could care less about a skincare regimen

Derma E Hydrating Night Cream

This is a great moisturizing night cream I use during the winter! It packs a ton of moisture and leaves my skin feeling replenished in the morning.

Aveeno Body Moisturizer

I have spent a lot of time trying to find a moisturizer that actually keeps my skin hydrated during the winter. I’ve tried lots of fancy ones from salons and this Aveeno one has them all beat. I grab it at Target and it has a ton of great options like oat & honey!

Hope these tips are helpful and if you have any clean beauty products you have been using feel free to let me know, I’m always looking for new brands and products!
