Let’s today’s post serve as a lesson to go with your gut.

I wish I was talking about something profound and serious but I’m talking about this tee. Although I’ve heard people call it a sweater so I’m unclear which it is but either way it is amazing. I saw this probably two years ago and although you may not know this, I agonize over decisions. Big or small, I will think and sometimes talk about them for days or weeks.

When I saw the $49 price tag, I thought no way am I paying that for a tee. Fast forward two years later and I finally ordered it and am so glad I did. I’ve really learned over the past few years to invest more in basics that are quality and well worth it instead of trying to save in ineffective places. Although I hesitated at first, I basically live in this shirt (that is made from the softest material ever) and have already gotten my money’s worth I’m sure and I’ve had it a few months.

I threw this on a few weeks ago when we headed down to the Chicago Children’s Museum with Kelly, Mitch and Emma. I had never been and Zain absolutely loved it! The museum is huge, has so many rooms and a great infant area with tons for him to do. It was nice to get out of the house and avoid work for an afternoon and enjoy a new experience with him. He’s getting so curious these days and it’s amazing to watch him explore the world.

I’m sure I’ve bragged on these loafers before but if you haven’t bought them, you need to. They come in a ton of shades, textures and patterns and much like my Everlane ones are comfortable and allow me to roam the city all day. It also happened to be the most beautiful day and was almost 60 out. I threw on my favorite spring anorak that never goes out of style and am very sad I had to store that away again!

Hope you are all having a great start to the week!
