Happy Friday people!
It was been a bit of a whirlwind week. I got back late Wednesday night from Chicago, worked yesterday and now we are packed up and headed to Trevor’s parent’s to celebrate Christmas with the family a little early. I am also super excited because my sister in law is expecting and they are having their gender reveal tomorrow so we can be there. I am crossing my fingers for a sweet girl since we both has wild boys but we’ll see!
As for today I wanted to update you guys on our Interior Define furniture since I’ve been receiving so many questions on it. A full post will definitely be coming in the next few weeks with details about all our decor and the finished room but I thought I would pop on to chat couches and chairs real quick.
When we lived in Chicago we stopped in the Interior Define store in Lincoln Park all the time. It just seemed to always be on our way places and besides the store being stunning I was in love with their custom designs. If you haven’t made it into a store and have the chance, do it! It’s so nice to test out the furniture, feel and see the fabrics and get and idea on sizing.
Once we moved into our home I knew I wanted to use their pieces and our formal living room seemed perfect. I agonized over materials and fabrics for so long and luckily had a work trip to Chicago lined up so went back in and really made myself focus. I knew I wanted the Alice Chair in blush velvet (I mean stunning, right?) so it was really just choosing a fabric that complemented that. I love the dark grey velvet for the sofa but couldn’t do two velvet’s and finally decided on this vanilla. It was a pet and kid friendly fabric and I knew I wouldn’t get away with white furniture in any other room in my house so this was the time!
Since everything is custom there is a bit of wait time but I loved that I constantly got email updated and when everything was ready for delivery I could schedule it all online. We really love how they turned out and they have worn well so far. I did scotch guard the sofa’s when the arrived but Zain actually plays in here all the time and they still look brand new.
What do you guys think?
