Coat: Club Monaco (size up, I feel like the shoulders are narrow so I went with a medium – also love this, this and this one is perfection! | Top: Madewell – also available here! Love this crossover top too! | Jeans: Madewell – also available here! Love raw hems currently and think this pair and this pair are both adorable and fit really well! | Shoes: Manolo Blahnik (old) – similar here and here! I really didn’t think I would get a ton of use out of cork heels and had just found these on sale and couldn’t resist but I wear them ALL the time! Highly reccomend | Lips: NARSNecklace: Baublebar – love the simple chain detail, this one is great also! | Handbag: Chloe – love this more affordable version!

Happy Monday guys!

It was a pretty busy weekend around here and we are still recovering from Neal’s 30th birthday party over here. We had a pretty low key Sunday yesterday and did get to sneak out of the house to see Black Panther.

Oh my gosh, have you guys seen it? If not I highly reccomend you go as soon as possible. The characters were amazing and the production was unreal. After that we stopped by Duck Duck Goat for dinner and left a few pounds heavier than we arrived.

Today’s post is tackling a question I get asked a lot. ‘What are some staples I can put together for date night/work/anything?’ I’m going to try to tackle a lot of these in the upcoming weeks and provide some insightful styling advice for you guys that you can practically use. I love taking fashion risks which is why I started this blog in the first place but also want to provide useful everyday style advice. So, on to the question at hand. I usually rely on a few essential pieces to put my go to date night look together:

A Classic Coat

I know I have talked about camel coat’s a lot on the blog but I think they are such a chic alternative to the usual black. This will warm up your look and going into spring you can always swap this for a trench!

A Versatile Top

This Madewell top is not only beautiful but so versatile! Trevor actually turned around and told me he loved it on me when I put it on for the first time. It’s perfect for date night, girls night out and even work. It’s sophisticated but classic at the same time and I think this cut is such a smart investment.

Fun Jeans

Sure, jeans can get boring but in case you haven’t noticed I am fully on board with the raw and step hems this season. They will be great during the spring and summer and this pair is so flattering, especially if you are curvier through the hips like me.

A Classic Heel

I touched on it a little bit above but this cork heel has been a lifesaver for me. I think a neutral tone heel can take you through any season and always dresses up a more casual look!

What do you guys reach for when going out for the night?
