Zain: Top & Bottom

Happy second week of October guys! I can’t believe Fall is finally in full swing and although we still have some warm temperatures we are getting excited about all the pumpkin patches, apple picking and Halloween trick or treating coming our way. In past years, we haven’t always made these holiday traditions a priority but since Zain has come along I’m excited to take him along for the ride. Plus, Halloween is one of our favorite holidays and I already have our costumes all lined up, can’t wait to show you guys!

As for today’s post, I’m sharing the cutest baby boy’s outfit that Zain is wearing oh so well and a new dress I’ve been living in. Mud Pie was a brand I originally heard about from my sweet friend Kelly. Her and her adorable daughter Emma had sported some pieces from the brand and I had loved the material and design. After seeing their cute outfits, I had browsed the site and ordered a few things but was ecstatic when I recently saw them launching the new Mud Pie Market. The new site is all about affordable women’s fashion, kids wear and home goods and everything is under $50! Not only is it super affordable but they always have sales and everything we’re wearing in today’s post is already marked down.

We’ve been stock piling clothes for Zain for the holiday season and when I saw this two piece set with a quilted stag on the front, I immediately added it to my cart. I think it’s the first outfit Trevor has repeatedly told me he likes and will now forever have a special place in my heart now since he laughed for the first time in it. Not sure if you saw the video on my Instagram but I’ve probably watched it ten thousand times.

I sized up for him (he’s wearing 6-9 months) so it would last us through the winter season and just folded the waistband of the pants and tucked the sleeves inside. Side note, the sleeve roll has been a lifesaver lately. It’s such an easy trick for kid’s clothes so you can buy then a bit bigger and get more use out of them! Instead of rolling them towards the outside and making them seem bulky, just tuck the cuff of the sleeve toward the inside so it still looks like a well tailored shirt. My favorite feature of the whole outfit is probably the quilted fabric the stag is made from. It looks so pretty and the fabric is really great quality!

As for me, easy is top priority and this shirt dress fits the bill. It has a cute cut out collar and a belt to cinch at the waist leaving you options. It’s long enough to wear when you are constantly bending over and grabbing your baby and easy enough to dress down with a scarf or up with some cute earrings. Last week, I threw it on with my camel booties and this adorable plaid scarf (that comes in a few colors) for a fall lunch date with Blair. I can’t believe her pregnancy is winding down and Zain and I can’t wait for baby Staky to arrive!

I honestly can’t say enough amazing things about our outfits and the company. I really love all their new fall arrivals and although monogramming isn’t exactly my thing, it’s nice that they offer it for almost all their pieces. Make sure to check out their new styles and let me know if you have any questions about sizing!
