my top 10 spring buys from 2018

Original post here

Happy Wednesday friends! The Khan Holland household is finally semi back from the stomach bug abyss. Thankfully it was a 24 hour deal but when you have a kid that 24 hours seems like a very very long time. We were all incredibly sick on Sunday and I have now sanitized, wiped down and disinfected this whole house and everything we own. Zain is back to school today which means I can get some work done and feel a little more settled.

We are also back to solid food (we’ve been on soups for days) so I am making a Whole Foods run today! I rarely go there but need something specific so if you have any favorites send me a DM over on Instagram so I can add it to my list!

As for today’s post it is all about spring! Even though outfits I may be sharing will still be full on winter and cold weather appropriate I have been getting questions about vacation essentials, spring picks and such so I thought this could be a great time to share some of my favorite Spring purchases from 2018!

1. AGolde Parker Cut Off Shorts

Also available here & here (More AGolde here)

These shorts are not inexpensive but boy are they worth it! I purchased these right after I had Zain and have not turned back. They were the first pair I found that weren’t incredibly short, too long and fit just the way I wanted. Do you find that all shorts are way too fitted around the thighs? I’m not sure why more brands don’t realize that’s not comfortable or cute. These are oversized in all the right areas, fit your waist like a glove and the distressing is damn near perfect. Honestly, if you buy one new thing this spring get these and don’t wait because they sell out every time. Fits a bit oversized so size down if you are in between (I’m wearing a 26)

2. Everlane Cami Slip Dress

I don’t know about you all but I love having simple but flattering dresses on hand during the spring and summer. It’s most often what I reach for since it’s one easy piece and this slip dress hits all the marks for me. It’s made for a super luxurious weave that you can dress up or down, isn’t see through and comes in tons of colors. I have worn it with heels, flats, sneakers—you name it. Fits TTS (I’m wearing a 2)

3. Everlane Wide Leg Crop Pant

This is another one that I have made work year round! I originally got these in white and have since purchased in other colors. They have been great during the winter with sock booties and a sweater and are so easy to dress up or down during warmer months. Fit TTS (I’m wearing a 2)

4. Steven Greece Slides

(More Steven shoes here)

Hello comfy slides! I love the design plus they come in a million colors and required no break in at all. I walked the city for hours in these and never had a problem so I just ordered them in tan for this year. Fit TTS (I’m wearing a 7.5)

5. Levi’s 721 High Rise Skinny Jean

Also available here & here (More Levi’s here)

I wish I could wear these jeans all year round but sadly they are usually reserved for spring and summer. They are a steal at under $100 and I love the distressing and fit. Every pair of Levi’s fits differently in my opinion but these are by far my most comfortable. I do find they run kind of long (I’m 5’8 for reference) so may cut a raw hem on them this year. Beyond length they fit TTS (I’m wearing a 26)

6. Sam Edelman Yaro Sandal

It’s no secret that I love this brand and these sandals have been my go to for the past few spring/summer seasons. I love the block heel (it’s way more comfortable) and they come in a ton of great colors. I think the cork is fun but still neutral! Fit TTS (I’m wearing a 7.5)

7. Everlane Trench Coat

I had not found a trench I loved for quite a few years so when this one was released in the perfect camel color I had to snag it. I usually tie the belt in the back and love how classy it can make an outfit look. I do think it runs big and would recommend sizing down (I’m wearing a small and wish I had gotten an XS)

8. Stella McCartney Lacing Swimsuit

I originally thought I couldn’t include this because I have been searching for this suit online since I bought it but I finally found it! It comes in a few colors (I’m tempted to buy the green too) and if you have a peach like me it’s worth the investment. I ordered what felt like a million suits after having Zain and was dead set on a one piece. I still wanted it to be fun so I loved the lace detailing in the front and this was the only option that covered my behind! It didn’t ride up at all and I lived in this last summer and will again this year.

If you have anything you love and swear by please share in the comments and I hope that this was helpful for you guys! Hope you all have an amazing day!
