Midi skirts are one of my favorite wardrobe items. The length is comfortable, the texture usually flows and they pair with everything. 

I wear them a lot, I know. I often have friends ask me what they should pair with them and my answer is almost always ‘whatever you want’. I had an event this particular evening, so decided to dress my pleated skirt up a bit. I grabbed this a few seasons ago and have been re purposing it ever since. 

Mix Textures: I love mixing textures in any outfit but I think it looks great with midi skirts. Since they tend to come in lighter fabrics, pairing them with something edgy like a moto jacket or chunky sweater always looks great.

Keep It Casual: I have been pairing mine with sneakers and a tee lately and think it works perfect for daytime and even casual nights out. It comfortable, easy and you can mix in a plain tee or even something fun and printed. 

Keep It Proportional: Sometimes midi skirts can be full, so make sure to balance it out. If you have a large skirt pair it with a tighter fit silk tank or turtleneck so the look doesn’t overwhelm you.

I have to be honest, a few seasons ago I thought my first one would be a throwaway but they have lasted me forever and I plan to wear them all fall long!
