As much as I love shopping online and at big box retailers, it’s always nice to support local craftsmen and the community. Jewelry and home goods have always been something I enjoy picking up on a more local level and am so excited because the One of a Kind Show is returning to Chicago this Spring! 

I attended last year and usually try to make it to all the local artisan festivals during the summer to stock up on fun pieces. Candles, home goods and jewelry are probably my top wants when I attend, but last year I found some amazing coffee mugs that we use constantly now too.

As you have probably seen before, I wear a ton of jewelry by a local designer I love – Michelle Starbuck. She has really opened my eyes to so many new artisans and I love finding those fun and unique pieces. I just came across these amazing earrings from Anne Marie Chagnon and instantly fell in love. I have been pairing them with everything from tee’s for workdays to dresses on the weekends. They are simple and not too overwhelming but the tassels are so fun! 

The show is also a great time to discover new brands and products you may have never tried before. Last year, I picked up a tobacco scented candle, which I would have never normally thought sounded appealing! To my surprise, I instantly became obsessed and so did most of my friends that came over while it was burning! If you haven’t tried it—I highly suggest it! Since I loved that earthy scent I recently grabbed these Chandler Candles in Lavender and Lime and Thai Basil and Cucumber and have fallen equally in love.

Another fun vendor that will be there this year that you should check out is Scratch Goods. They actually offer product and services in their store on Damen Ave. I have stopped in before to grab face masks and this same lip butter! They make the best presents and I definitely reccomend giving them to friends! 

There are so many cool artists to explore and I highly reccomend stopping by the One of a Kind Show to look around! I will be there throughout the weekend, so let me know if you plan on swinging by!
