First off, happy Monday and happy holiday season! Sorry for the somewhat irregular blogging schedule lately. Life just seems to have crept up on me and instead of driving myself nuts, I have just scaled back a bit. Is the holiday season crazy for anyone else?

I feel like it’s finally set in that we are in December! I just ordered a new 2017 planner (what?!) – how cute is it though? Since the holidays are right around the corner I decided to get in a bit of the holiday spirit down in the Gold Coast. The Waldorf Astoria Chicago is beautiful all year long but it has a certain charm during the holidays. The massive tree is lit up and the lobby feels so festive. We grabbed a coffee by the fire and shot a few holiday looks right outside. Since the weather has decided to go total iceberg on us it was the perfect spot to warm up in after shooting.

I was excited to finally bust out this red jumpsuit I have had hanging in my closet for weeks! I have always been a fan of the jumpsuit but don’t get to wear them that often. The holidays are the perfect excuse to pull one out – or buy one for the first time. I loved the bold red color of this one and think the texture is so flattering. I think the sash could be worn a ton of different ways and even around the waist with a bow, but I loved it on my neck. It has a bit of room, mine is a small for reference and was really comfortable. I think the cut is flattering on any shape and the price can’t be beat!

After warming up, we headed down the street to Le Colonial for lunch. I know I have talked about it on the blog before but if you haven’t been it’s a must! We had a cozy booth in the corner and shared spring rolls, pho and fried rice. Trust me – you need this in your life!

After that delicious late lunch it was hard to get back to work but we pushed through. Do you guys ever take the jumpsuit plunge? If so, what are your favorite cuts on them?
