Getting dressed up can be a doozy for anyone, especially me. I love the feeling when I’m dressed up and put together – it’s just tough getting there. Now that pregnancy has really started to take shape, you know…my belly – it’s become increasingly difficult to get that motivation.

While we were home in Louisville, I wanted to spend the day off with Trevor and just enjoy some alone time. We spend a lot of time in jeans and tees on the weekends and it was so nice to throw on a dress and heels and enjoy a coffee date with him. As much as big baggy clothes are easy, they don’t make me feel good. I’m still prone to wearing fitted pieces and most non maternity things still work great. This dress is not maternity and I actually picked it up in my normal size. It’s a ribbed sweater material so has a bit of stretch to it and hugged my bump perfectly.

I love the longer than midi length and the double slide slits are much needed on this form fitted dress. I’m sure you’ve seen these heels often enough on my Instagram, but I just recently purchased them and have been wearing them constantly. Tall heels scare me a bit right now, so this lower chunky heel is the perfect balance and I love the pointed toe and lace up detailing.

How often do you guys get dressed up? I totally reccomend finding a reason to do so soon and I can guarantee it will lift your mood!

Dang, girl! You look great! The color of this dress is amazing, and so is the fit. I love getting dressed up, even if we aren’t going any place special. Now that I have a job that doesn’t require business attire, I look for more opportunities to dress up, because I’m in jeans all week! My fancy clothes need to be take out on dates just as much as I do! 😉
