After my recent travels to Boston I realized how much I really needed to step up my travel game & narrow down my travel essential list. I’ve done my fair share of travel (my parents took us everywhere with them & Trevor I would travel all the time before his work wouldn’t allow it) and I guess I never really organized the things I needed. Truthfully, I just bummed suitcases off my parents – anyone else? Don’t tell me I’m the only one, ha.

I recently got a hard case suitcase on rollers that has been life changing. It made me limit the stuff I put in there – I finally followed my own packing advice. It also moved like a dream and I didn’t have to worry about it fitting in the overhead compartment. I couldn’t recommend one anymore and I have a few friends who have this style and love it. I was weary of the white but everyone says stains just wipe off with a wet cloth!

Besides a new suitcase I have been trying to collect cosmetic cases that are classic and useful. I usually like to have two – one for toiletries and one for makeup. I love these Cuyana pieces because you can mix and match sizes and the workmanship is amazing. Honestly, any of their stuff will last you a lifetime.

Besides the usual packing necessities I always travel with these noise cancelling headphones. I know they are a bit of an investment but if you fly enough there is nothing better than noise cancelling. On long flights I will even just turn them on and take a nap with them.
