What I Packed For Our Weekend Trip

Mar 20, 2021

Tee: Nordstrom | Jeans: Madewell | Handbag: Cuyana | Sneakers: Adidas | Suitcase: Delsey

Good morning and happy Saturday!

We are up bright and early because we are headed to Chicago this morning!!! AHHHHH!

This is our first trip without kids in more than a year. Covid hit right before our Babymoon and we had traveled prior to that but always with Zain. It has been a while since we have had some alone time and am beyond excited.

I won’t lie though, I am a teeny bit worried I will miss the kids terribly but I hope this time away is wonderful for Trevor and I. Plus, we’ll be enjoying a city we love so much, seeing a few friends and finally cuddling our nieces and nephew. We haven’t seen them in almost a year and I can NOT wait.

We have dinners planned at BLVD and Aba and will most definitely be stopping by Sweetgreen and Beatrix because I miss those places more than I can tell you. I’ll be honest, although we love Louisville and don’t miss much about Chicago we do miss our friends and the food scene so much!!!

I thought I would share what I was packing for the weekend here in case you are interested:

Leopard Pajamas (more Z Supply here)

One of my favorite pajama sets I wear constantly. Z Supply makes my holy grail t-shirt dress and this feels just as soft and comfortable. Runs TTS.

Lounge Set

I bought this set just a week ago or so but I own the long sleeve version and wanted this for Spring and Summer. I wear the pieces separately especially when I am going to hang out with the kids in the neighborhood. Runs TTS, I took a medium for a looser feel.

Slip Dress

I ordered this from H&M just a week ago and I think it sold out immediately. Both Target & Amazon have almost identical versions and they are a staple in my wardrobe. So easy to layer and they are comfortable while looking chic.

Floral Long Sleeve Top (more FP here)

This is also a new buy because I wanted something fun and spring feeling for our date night even though it won’t be terribly warm. I loved the detailing and was thrilled you could wear a normal bra with the back cut out.

Leather Jacket

I have owned my Vegan leather jacket for years and never tire of it. I like a looser relaxed fit so would size up.

Black Pumps (more Sam Edelman here)

I think I have owned these pumps in black and brown for a few years and they are my go-to. Comfortable, classic and the heel isn’t too high! TTS.

Tan & White Sneakers (more Veja here)

I live in neutral sneakers and I love these just as much as my GG. I think they run a bit big so sized down 1/2 size and I always move the tongue to the side so I don’t have to worry about breaking it in.

Stripe Tee

This is the new tee I share in my Target roundup last week! $8 and so incredibly comfortable and flattering. I think it looks much more expensive in person! Runs TTS, I’m in a medium.

Vintage Black Jeans (more Mother Denim here)

Always need a good pair of black jeans and I love this brand. They are pricey but the fit is phenomenal and I find them more soft and comfortable. TTS.

Camel Coat (more Reformation here)

I’ll be honest I’m sad I have to pack a coat but I refuse to take anything heavier than a classic camel. Now is a great time to snag a classic on sale!

Align Leggings

I take these everywhere and tend to live in them. I’m sure we’ll be walking to get coffee and wander around in the morning so I threw in a few activewear pieces.

Camel Crop

My all time favorite crop! I sadly shrunk this a few months ago and immediately repurchased. Thankfully it’s only $20 but do not let it get thrown in with your non delicate clothes 😉 TTS.

Fanny Pack

You know my new best friend is coming! The size, convenience and versatility of it is so nice and it’s under $40.

Zella Joggers

My go-to joggers for travel or road trips. I find them to be super stretchy and more relaxed than my Lululemon pair. I sized up to a medium but I think they run TTS.

Bing Tee

I bought this tee a few years ago and thought the price was a little much but I have to say for cost per wear it’s paid for itself in my case. It’s my favorite vintage tee and so comfortable, I wear it weekly. I sized up to a medium.

Teddy Coat

I’m taking this in the car with me and truly hoping I can get away with just wearing it all weekend. It’s another one of my most worn layers and I took a medium in this as well!

I hope you all have an amazing weekend!
