9 Months with Zain

9 months with zain

Can you even handle his smile?! All outfit details here!

It’s crazy to think that when I wrote this just last week my peanut was 9 months and he just turned 10 on the 25th! I know everyone tells you that time flies by but boy does it. I don’t realize as much until I see friends and they can’t believe how big and BUSY he is.

I thought I would share a little update since I get quite a lot of questions on Zain, his schedule, etc and see if you guys have any others! We are actually flying out tonight for Benton, KY which is Trevor’s hometown. It’s a pretty small town in Western Kentucky so still about 3 hours from Louisville but it’s so nice to visit his parents and his little brother, wife and our nephew live down the street from them so I am over the moon for Zain to get to play with his cousin Baylor.

We usually lay pretty low while we’re there and I have already seen on Facetime how many toys his dad has washed and kept out for them (so cute!) so I think Zain will be plenty busy. On the  topic of traveling with him, I shared this post previously on how we make it work but will either be creating a new one or updating this soon because some of our techniques have changed.

As far as an update, let’s see:

Likes: Moving! Zain has been pretty mobile since around 6 months. He started crawling backwards, dragging his belly all over the place but probably didn’t start ‘properly’ crawling till 8 months. It was amazing how quickly he would get around with the belly on the ground and the daycare workers couldn’t get enough of it, haha. Other likes include reading books (his smile kills me when you open a book), bath time (we take bubble baths and I love this bath mat and body wash), going for walks (this is our stroller, tons of space underneath which is nice), eating (anything and everything—I shared a post on his transition here!), and wrestling with papa.

Dislikes: When I don’t pay attention to him, won’t let him have my coffee or whatever I’m currently eating (anyone else hide food from their child so they can eat it?), when I walk away from him when he’s talking to me, Basically when I don’t do what he wants haha—I’m just joking but kind of not.

Sleep: Zain currently takes two naps a day, one at 9am and one at 1pm. He sleeps anywhere from 45 minutes -1 hour and 30 minutes depending on the day. We then give him a bath around 6:00pm, read him books and spend some time together before we put him to sleep between 6:30 and 7pm. He will then wake up anywhere from 6:30am to 7am! We shared how we sleep trained him previously in this post

I also shared our favorite products previously here and I think the only things we’ve recently grown more attached to is his high chair, I can’t say enough good things about it. I know it’s on the pricier end but for someone who doesn’t have a lot of space it’s so low profile and easy to clean.

If you guys have any other questions feel free to shoot me an email!
