i sparkled my way around the neighborhood this weekend.

running errands on the wkend can be a pain, especially in the city so it’s key to have staple pieces you can throw together for quick comfort without feeling frumpy. i loved putting this together and consequently wore it for the rest of the day to visit my niece & nephew and stuff my face full of donuts!

the faux leather leggings are “fitting” shall we say…so, i prefer to pair them with something a bit looser and longer. the faux leather on these are my fav because it’s matte and blends well making it more subtle and less abrasive. they’re the perfect length for this weather so your ankles don’t freeze and high waisted enough to make you feel secure. the sweater was a solid piece i’m happy i snagged on sale and highly suggest a cream cable knit that you can pair with almost anything! finish that off with some sparkle on your sneaks and a warm puffer and you’re ready to take on the day!

as far as investemnt pieces being worth it i would 100% recommend this jacket. it’s on the lower side for Burberry outerwear (compared to their trenches) and i like how the pattern is subtle on the inside of the jacket. it’s super warm & durable thus far (i’ve been wearing it through 3 chicago winters) and never had a problem!
