If there is one thing I struggle with having together in the morning during the work week it’s food. This breakfast smoothie is the perfect balanced & nutritious way to start your day! Most times smoothies can taste bland or off because of the spinach I want to add and Truvia Spoonable is the perfect way to sweeten it up. It’s based in Stevia and has no calories so I feel good about what I’m adding to my food. Start small and add as you need since 1 teaspoon is generally equivalent to 2 teaspoons of raw sugar.

You can always switch out the berries with any fruit that you prefer and although I used almond milk you can always use regular or soy! It takes under 10 minutes to throw in your blender and you are out the door and full till lunch. I highly suggest not skipping the almond (or peanut) butter because it will give you a good source of protein in the morning!

Let me know what healthy on the go breakfast have been working for you and I hope this helps us all stick to those new years resolutions all year! Truvia spoonable has helped me add a more wholesome sweetener to my clean eating regimen without sacrificing flavor! The jar makes it so easy to measure and use on the go and stays fresh! You can request a free sample here & check out other recipes here. Be sure to let me know how you are using it at home and be sure to snag it at your local Walmart!

I like adding some protein powder (usually whey based) to my smoothies. I also like adding avocados or ginger to change up the flavor. I also eat oatmeal in the morning (oatmeal+protein powder+frozen berries+cinnamon).

    • I do too – I shared this chocolate coffee one last year with protein powder that I love! Since I’m on Whole 30 I feel like I’m overdosing on protein and avocados so this felt fruity! I would love to know your favorite protein powders though I’m always looking!

  2. I love making smoothies for the morning, and yes, you definitely need something when you add spinach so it tastes better. This sounds great! #client
