Jalapeno Margaritas

nights in call for fun new drinks like these jalapeno margaritas! last weekend when trevor & i decided to stay in & watch Boyhood i wanted to whip up a new drink besides our usual wine & bourbon. i had picked up some fresh jalapenos that week since i use them in almost everything and was excited to try to infuse some tequila.

be warned it gets very spicy very quickly so let it sit for just a few hours and you can gradually add more spice as you like. add a yummy salt rim & some sweet agave nectar and you have a delicious cocktail! if i had some blood oranges or grapefruit on hand i would have totally added a fresh squeeze in to mine since i tend to like things on the sweeter side.

hope you can enjoy these soon & cheers to homemade happy hours!

4 oz tequila

2 oz triple sec

1 tbsp agave nectar

2 limes (fresh squeezed juice)

1/2 jalapeno

salt to rim

limes to garnish

*for a spicier kick put jalapenos in tequila and allow to sit for 1-2 hrs in fridge then combine

Shaheen these look positively brilliant (and potentially dangerous since I never remember to wear gloves when I’m slicing up jalapeños)! Your photography skills are improving so rapidly — that last shot is perfection!

So I was watching Vanderpump rules, and they were all about the Jalapeno Margaritta – i know you won’t judge me with that comment. Sent this recipe to Adam! Have a good weekend!
