Today’s post is the last from our time in Portland and a farewell to summer. I think the temperatures have finally changed for good and I’m excited about this new fall weather. Hopefully it lasts since I am certainly in no rush for the Chicago winter to show it’s face.

The morning before Jess and Neal’s wedding we decided to head over to Tasty n Adler for brunch. We had heard lots of great things and despite our best attempts to make it when the restaurant opened we showed up at prime brunch time. The wait was about an hour so we decided to walk around the neighborhood and grab a cub of coffee. The surrounding area has some cute shops and tons of residential streets that were perfect for one of my favorite activities, house stalking. Anyone else? I love wandering cities and exploring the different homes and architectural styles.

Since it happened to be a little hotter that day I threw on my trusty denim shorts and this tee that I have been wearing under cardigans lately. Once we were able to get in, we grabbed a seat by the kitchen and dove right into brunch. My biscuit was so yum but I think Trevor’s steak and eggs was my favorite. After stuffing our faces we grabbed a quick power nap before heading out to the wedding. I’m waiting for Jess to share photos from her stunning day but I will be sure to share some later too! I wore this LBD I had snagged during the Nordstrom anniversary sale and it was the perfect post baby cut. The drop waist and longer length in the back make it super comfortable and easy to maneuver in.

Hope you guys are having a wonderful week and enjoying this perfect fall weather!
