Our Nursery Reveal

Well, I can’t believe it’s finally done! It’s just a few weeks away from our due date but honestly I’m shocked we made it happen. It seems like no matter what we do to prepare for this baby, there is always something else hanging over my head. Is that just being a parent?!

I was so excited with all the lovely feedback we got about our progress post and have changed just a few things around since then. Once we  got all the furniture in the room, we had to move the chair over so the crib wasn’t right over a vent. Although the chair now backs up to that tiny closet, it’s pretty easy  to move and we really just use that space for storage so I’m not too concerned.

We also finally hung our mobile and this beautiful print from Minted. If you haven’t checked out their site, you’re missing out. Almost everything in our home is from there like our bedroom prints and my office decor. We have also received so many sweet gifts that I wanted to display like this wooden pacifier clip and these Beautycounter baby products I can’t wait to try! I have heard so many great things about the diaper cream so I will make sure to report back!

Also, I’m so excited to finally share a favorite space in the room – the book wall!!! I knew I wanted to do something fun with animals and this tiny wall that is set back in the room. I thought the alphabet wallpaper was a cute play on a reading wall and then decided to mix up the wooden tones for the shelves. I absolutely love the way it turned out and since the rest of the room is very non kid like I loved that this was fun and playful.

I made sure to link everything in the room below and a little bit about why we chose these pieces but if you have any other questions feel free to comment or shoot me an email!

I still can’t believe that in just a few shorts weeks we will be bringing our sweet boy home and I am overjoyed to think of the memories we will make with him in this space. Thank you again from the bottom of my heart for following along on this journey with us and I can’t wait to share more with you along the way!

This was our first purchase for the nursery and one of my favorites! They have so many color combinations and it transitions to a toddler bed.

Can you believe this is from a child’s store? I loved the gold and white touches and thought we could use it in another room later!

This was a present from my mother in law so we ended up putting it in the nursery and moved the previous one to our bedroom. I love the midcentury feel and am debating switching in gold handles, thoughts?

I took a long time to find the perfect rug for his room. I really wanted something unique but easy to clean and I have always loved this brand. Plus, it’s such a great price!

Trevor was most excited about finding this chair! It’s large enough for both of us to fit comfortably and will come in handy for night time feeds. It can also work somewhere else in our house one day and the legs match our dresser so well!

Guys, I love this lamp!!! The grey and silver detailing is beautiful but the marble base is beyond. Such a good piece for the price!

Super lightweight and really perfect for a kid’s room. I plan on leaving one empty for bottles, bibs, water and the other million things I may need in the middle of the night!

I wanted this mirror for our bedroom but loved it in the nursery. I think once he discovers himself it will be so fun for us.

Wallpaper options are overwhelming so when I stumbled upon this I was sold. It’s a stark black and white and was super easy to stick on!

Any wood shelf would work but I loved the wood grain on these!

I searched high and low for the perfect seagrass basket and was sold on this white dipped version. I used it as a planter but it would be really cute as toy or blanket basket!

Who knew they had cute blackout curtains? I was excited to get these on sale and think the pom details are fun without being too overwhelming.

Picking out crib sheets is a blast! I love all of their prints and these whale sheets were one of our favorites.

I love these natural products and this wooden play set was at the top of our list. You can also switch out the wooden and felt plush toys!

These lamps come in so many colors and I’ve seen them everywhere from adult bedrooms to living rooms.

I searched high and low for felt animal heads! I was sold on felt and everything I found that looked well made was so pricey! I was elated when I spotted these and if they happen to be sold out online, check in the store because I always see them!

How cute is this?! I loved the wooden detailing and the dinosaur monsters!

I loved mixing silver and gold detailing in the room and thought this was simple and classic.

Okay, so I’m in love with this brand and although they are a little pricey you can do the surprise bag for either a boy or girl for a discounted price and they send you a random one. They are all cute so you really can’t go wrong!

I liked the white detailing on this wicker basket and it’s the perfect size for all of our muslin blankets and throws!

I am still undecided if I will get around to taking pictures at every milestone but I thought these would be sweet to have on hand!

This was a gift from our sweet friend Lauren and I can’t wait for him to use it!

Toothy Sharky! I had been eyeing Jellycat’s for quite a while and stumbled into a kid’s store in Logan Square with my girlfriends and saw this guy and had to have him. I mean can you get over how cute his teeth are?

We have these robot and spaceship guys hanging from our play set!

This was another present from our friend Lacey and I love the wood and grey detailing. My friends really get my style, huh?

This stroller blanket was a gift from our friend Stephanie and is perfect to throw over our chair while we’re home.

We may have a muslin overload but I’m hoping to use them for everything and this is our favorite brand so far!

Ahh, our friend Laurie spoiled Baby T with these goodies. I have received so many comments about how the diaper cream is amazing and I can’t wait to try it out.

  2. Oh my gosh, my heart is bursting! This is such a sweet and precious space. I love the mobile, and that alphabet wallpaper is so perfect for that little corner! I love natural toys like that play gym- who decided everything baby all of a sudden needed to be bright primary colors all the time? You did a fantastic job in the nursery. Your sweet boy has a lovely space to come home to. Congrats again!

    • Aww, that is so kind! I totally agree – I mean I’m sure we’ll have many bright things as time goes on but I was excited to keep it neutral as long as I can ha! Thank you so much, hope you are having a lovely Monday!

Looks beautiful! I love the felt animal heads and book wall…we just installed a “tree bookshelf” with branches as the shelves and it’s my favorite part of the room so far. I think you did a great job of making it kid friendly without being overly cheesy and cutesy, which will be helpful when you want to re-purpose some of the items in your house later on…I’m trying to do the same 🙂 Hope you’re feeling well!
