It’s poncho season again! Whenever fall rolls around, I get excited to pull out my sweaters and ponchos and was extra excited to grab this mustard one recently. We had Sunday brunch plans at The Dawson last weekend and I thought it would be the perfect companion.

Speaking of brunch, have you guys been to The Dawson? I can’t believe it was the first time for us because it was so beautiful. They have a killer patio (why didn’t we go over the summer?!) and the food was excellent. I ordered the breakfast sandwich, which was perfectly indulgent with the toasted brioche bread and Trevor ordered the chicken fried lobster – oh my word. If you guys are looking for a new spot to try, I totally reccomend it!

So back to the fashion, I loved the way this look came together. I wasn’t really feeling makeup that day, so accessories seem to be the best way to balance that. I threw on my Brixton hat, which is under $60 and my new Gorjana earrings.

Ponchos can get overwhelming easily so make sure to keep your accessories and clothes fitted and classic. Stick to tees, dark jeans and a neutral boot!

I kept the rest of the look classic since the poncho is so bold and bright! These boots I picked up during the Nordstrom sale have already proven to be well worth the money. If you are debating them, I highly reccomend taking the plunge! I rounded up some of my favorite ponchos to try and don’t be afraid to wear them!

At 5’2″ some ponchos are tough for me but I like how you kept everything else streamlined and fitted. I think it could work. I had a birthday dinner at The Dawson and yes, you need to go back when it is warm again and sit outside!
