To be completely honest, I have never been a ‘jegging’ or jean leggings kind of girl. Wearing leggings as pants has always made me a bit uncomfortable, mostly because I felt like I didn’t have enough support. I wear leggings to the gym and  to run errands, but will always try to change into real clothes as soon as I can. Now that I’m expecting, comfort and ease has become my main priority and I can only imagine how that will be magnified in motherhood

I decided to check out some jean leggings since they give the denim support I crave but the stretch and comfort of yoga pants. Can I tell you that my life is now changed?! This pair is not maternity and fits so well! They are so stretchy and morph right over my expanding belly. I actually picked them up in two sizes because I loved the fit and am hoping to live in them post delivery too.

My Favorite Jean Leggings:

I’ve been pairing them with everything from sweaters to tee’s and have received so many compliments. The fit is amazing and especially right now, it’s nice to feel as normal as possible in my jeans. Since the weather seems to be treating Chicago well lately I decided to pair them with some spring basics I am excited about! I recently picked up this stripe top and love how versatile and chic it is. I will be living in it this season with everything from skirts to shorts and even linen pants. I had also been on the hunt for a neutral pair of espadrille sneakers and love this pair. They are a great price and I loved the slightly worn in look, more of a off white rather than bright! They do run a bit narrow though so if you have wider feet, I would size up!

It was the perfect look for a day in the West Loop! I was able to work all day at Soho House and meet friends in the evening for dinner at Federales and enjoy some Mexican food! I used to dread being ‘dressed’ all day while pregnant and I can’t tell you how much these jean leggings have changed my life. Let me know if you have any questions about size or fit and how you like them!

  1. The jean leggings sound like a pregnancy gift from the heavens! They look great too – also loving those espadrille sneakers. I’ve not really tried jeggings, but I have some ponte pants for work that are similar to yoga pants but are actually pants with pockets. They’re really comfortable, and I imagine they’ve got to be similar to the jean leggings. I’m sure I’ll be giving these a try someday during pregnancy especially. 🙂

  2. So cute!! Loved this shoot and this whole day, let’s do it again!
