Can you believe the warm weather we were having? I’m terribly scared it’s all a mistake and will never come back. Well, while it was here I took full advantage and off the shoulder pieces were my first choice. With my ever expanding bump, my shoulders are quickly becoming the most flattering feature remaining mostly unchanged. Lucky for me, it’s trendy to show them off and I love how most of my current off the shoulder pieces are loose and flowing making it easy to transition them to pregnancy.

Although blue and white stripes have traditionally been more nautical, I thought this off the shoulder dress had a fun modern twist to it. The midi length is always a favorite of mine and the belt was easy to adjust over top of the belly. I decided to pair it with a more casual espadrille sneaker and fun earrings for a lunch date with friends at Cafe Robey. It’s the cafe in the bottom of the new hotel in Wicker Park at six corners.  The space was absolutely gorgeous and I will definitely be returning for work days to hang in their upstairs lounge. They gave us a mini tour and said there should be a rooftop space opening up this summer so I’m excited to finally have a hotel for family and friends to stay at that is not only beautiful but close to us!

I’ve been investing in fun accessories since buying clothes hasn’t been a top priority and I love how lightweight and multi dimensional this pair of earrings is. I can wear them with almost any outfit and they never weigh my ears down. Fun fact, my right ear piercing is ripped from attempting to jam a rather large Indian earring into my small ear back in middle school. I guess even back then I was really committed to fashion…

It’s why I have always been a stud girl. Anytime I would attempt to wear a heavier earring, it would weigh down and hang several inches lower than my other earring. Luckily, these have a stud at the top and are so lightweight that I don’t have that problem. I should probably also look into having that ear stitched up, anyone done that before?

I rounded up some of my favorite pieces from the off the shoulder trend below and chose some everyday classic pieces as well as dressier ones since a girl always needs both!

Totally obsessing over this dress! I’m all about stripes and love the tie-front trend – so this is perfect! Also, JOA is one of my favorite brands because they’re so affordable! And hopefully the warm weather is here for good!
