Good morning and happy Friday friends! 

Trevor gets home from his CE course later tonight and I can’t wait. I am planning on making a low key curry and watching a movie with him after Zain goes to sleep with a nice glass of wine. We have a kind of busy weekend but in a good way. 

Zain has soccer practice tomorrow morning (have you seen the cuteness?) and then we are headed downtown for a little staycation at The Omni Louisville. I am working with them on a fun giveaway this month so keep your eyes peeled for that over on Instagram. If the weather works out we are going to take Zain to their rooftop pool, try their restaurant and I booked a facial at their Mokara Spa

I will share more of that over on Instagram but as for today’s post I thought I would share my 3 favorite smoothies/go to recipes. I’ve been getting some questions about these and if you are looking for another one you may have seen just search ‘smoothie’ in my search bar and a ton should come up on the blog! 

I currently use this Cuisinart set for my single serve smoothies and have had it for years! I love the to go cups and use the smaller container like a food processor. I also own this larger blender I got a few years ago but am debating a refurbished Vitamix. I’ve had a few friends get them and say they are identical to a brand new machine but so much cheaper!

Blueberry Magic

  • 1 cup Coconut Milk
  • 1/4 cup blueberries
  • 1 cup spinach
  • 1 banana
  • 1 Tbsp Maca Powder
  • 1 scoop HMR chocolate protein
  • Sprinkle of flaxseed 
  • 1 cup ice

*this recipe made enough for Trevor and myself so if you are making a single serving I would half it*

 

Green Goodness

  • 2 cups spinach
  • 1 banana
  • 2 tbsp flaxseed
  • 1 scoop Vital Proteins collagen 
  • 1/4 cup frozen mango
  • splash of coconut milk 
  • 1 cup ice

 

Chocolate Chunk

  • 1 cup almond milk 
  • 1 cup frozen spinach
  • 1 tsp chia seeds
  • 1 banana
  • 1 scoop HMR chocolate protein 
  • 1 cup ice
