Good morning and Happy Monday!

After a beautiful and sunny weekend, I am actually rejuvenated and ready to take on the week. A lot of times my work gets pushed to the weekend because I just can’t seem to carve out enough time during the week with the kids and everything else going on. However, this past week I was actually able to check everything off my list and take a much needed break over the weekend.

Sometimes it’s a good idea to take a look at what is really filling up your cup and do more of that. Personally, it ebbs and flows so much. At times, work is what brings me peace and a sense of accomplishment and other times it’s family or just simply being alone. This weekend was a nice mix of doing things for myself like working out and reading and being really present with my family.

I am excited about some fresh new fall content coming your way along with real outfit photos, ha! It had been SO long since I had shot styled outfits somewhere other than my bedroom. Quarantine really pivoted my point of view and reality and as happy as I am sharing my day to day style and pictures at home, I missed styling looks for a new season and editing photos!

We got lucky with a beautiful week last week so I was able to sneak away for a few hours and shoot a few things I am really excited about! First up is today’s post on Shackets. If you haven’t already seen them everywhere they are essentially a shirt-jacket and back in a big way. I’m not one to jump on every trend but do love an oversized jacket and have had one for years so I”m not sure how ‘new’ it really is.

However, with mass popularity comes great options and I browsed my favorite retailers to round up a few I really do love. H&M can’t seen to keep theirs in stock on their site so if you can’t find your size and have one close by try in-store (with a mask, of course) too!

I think they are perfect to layer with jeans and a bootie or even shorts and a tank if it’s not too chilly where you are just yet. They are easy, comfortable and will last you all fall and winter season so it’s a yes for me.

As far as the Free People one I have on, it runs very oversized! I am wearing an XS and it still has plenty of room! It comes in a few other colors and I love the deep brown plaid version. It’s insanely soft and will pair with almost anything.

Hope you all had a refreshing weekend and are getting a great start to your Monday!
