Coat: MKT Studio – I’m wearing the 38 and the overall fit is oversized | Turtleneck: Madewell – less fitted than the J.Crew ones and so soft!| Jeans: Levi’s – also available here! – these are my go to’s in the summer. They are so flattering and run a little big so I would order a size down! | Belt: B-Low The Belt – also available here!| Shoes: Stuart Weitzman – more affordable pair! | Handbag: Chanel (similar) | Sunglasses: Nordstrom | Lips: NARS
Guys! If you aren’t on the teddy coat bandwagon, hop on!
I’ll be honest I wasn’t sure I was either which is why it took so long for me to give in and try on. However, now I’m sold.
This particular one is pretty oversized and it’s tricky because the material itself is a tad overwhelming but you don’t want it too fitted. I’ve no tried on a bunch and would say in most cases, go ahead and order true to size.
I threw this on last week for a little girls & babies day out. Blair and I had always gotten together one day a week (the day I used to be off from the dental office) to shoot, work on blog content and get to see each other. Being creative can be hard 24/7 and bouncing ideas off your friends and collaborating on projects is what makes blogging so exciting and rewarding for me. I’m honestly so lucky and thankful to have Blair, Jess and Kelly to constantly be a sound board.
Anyways, I digress. Blair and I have obviously not had a ‘work day’ in quite some time since she has a newborn and I have Zain. We decided we needed to make more of an effort to get out with each other and planned a lunch date with the boys! It actually went so well 🙂 We ventured out to the suburbs to shop around since it was a relatively warm day and have lunch at the Nordstrom cafe. I’m not sure if it was because we were in the burbs or Nordstrom but every single person watched up wheel our matching strollers in and came over to see the babies and share the sweetest stories and kindest words. We had the cutest man stop and chat and later found out he is Nordstrom’s oldest employee at 96 years old! He was seriously the cutest.
It was a smooth adventure and a great reminder to get back to our lives. Sure, it’s different and sadly when you plan things like this you get no actual work done but I think we are going to make more of an effort to do it this winter.
Do you guys do girl’s day/weekend out? Send any and all fun ideas if you have them!
