Good morning guys!

We are still over here recovering from all the Derby festivities and excitement. I don’t know why it always seems that Oaks and Derby day are tough weather wise recently. I only have memories of sunny amazing day at the track from childhood but maybe it’s because I’m significantly more annoyed by rain as an adult 😉 

We actually got so lucky with the weather and had the most amazing few days! Oaks morning started a little gloomy but by the time we headed to the track the sun was shining and was beautiful the rest of the day! Which was amazing since our box we only partially covered and we would have been miserable otherwise. 

Derby Day didn’t give us quite the same luck but it wasn’t raining when we got there or when we left and thankfully our box was fully covered and we had a hard time telling when it was and wasn’t raining. Grace and Jordan invited us along with them and we had a delicious brunch at 21C and so much fun at the track. I was giving Trevor a hard time for being so into the betting since I usually approach it as money lost but he ended up hitting a Superfecta and I took it all back, ha! 

Zain went to stay with my parents since we had a few friends in town and so much going on. I definitely enjoyed the mornings sleeping in but I missed him so much and was beyond happy to pick him up Sunday morning. 

I’m also excited about today’s post since it includes a Mothers Day giveaway! In true ‘mom brain‘ fashion I realized after shooting these photos on the windiest day in Louisville that I didn’t get a good shot of the necklace I’m giving away! I’m sure you have all seen it previously since I wear it all the time, but if you need more details head over to my Instagram stories!

Today’s look is one that could definitely work for the weekend or an office day. Depending on how casual your office is, you could do a low block heel or loafer with these pants. I love the paper bag waist because they aren’t constricting at all and are comfortable enough to wear all day. 

I also had a few people message me about the comfort of these sandals and I have to give them two thumbs up. I actually debated keeping them because I was worried I wouldn’t wear leopard sandals enough, but ultimately did because they were so comfy.
