My Favorite Chicago Coffee Shops

Sep 29, 2015

In honor of national coffee day I thought I would round up 5 of my favorite Chicago coffee shops! In case you hadn’t noticed from my instagram Trevor & I are very into our caffeine. My husband can handle much more than me but we crave it daily so on the weekends we always try to find new spots to have dates. It’s the perfect way to get some reading done, catch up with each other, and people watch.

1.Buzz Killer Espresso: Right in Bucktown on Damen this spot has an upstairs and main floor that are perfect for working during the day. It has a ton of light and is situated right in the middle of some amazing shops and restaurants.

2. CC Ferns: Off the beaten path a bit in Humboldt Park this shop could not be more charming. They have a wide selection of bourbon and cigars so Trevor instantly fell in love. It’s a bit darker inside but has a retro vibe so we usually just lounge here and chat.

3. Intelligentsia Wicker Park: My go to during the week. It’s so close to our house and has a parking lot (the best!) Great coffee and quick service perfect for business meetings.

4. Heritage Bicycle Shop: A bicycle shop and coffee house this spot tends to be busy throughout the week and weekends so make sure if you want to work from here you get there early. Their seasonal iced coffee flavors are some of my favorites and their lavender latte can’t be beat.

5. Gaslight Coffee Roasters: Great spot to grab a bite to eat and a coffee. On the corner in Logan Square it’s easily accessible and they sell their own coffee beans which we buy and bring home all the time.

We are always looking for new spots so if you have any favorites please let me know & thank you all so much for all the sweet birthday messages!
