SHOP THE POST:

poncho: The Limited (similar) | jeans: Rag & Bone (c/o) | booties: Steve Madden x The Blonde Salad (similar) | clutch: Gigi New York | lips: Smashbox

i’m not totally sure how it’s not friday but i can tell you i’m not stoked about it. these freezing temps are at a record low and the wind has started to make my face hurt! oh the joys of chicago winters…

this outfit was most definitely worn last week when it was sunny and pleasant outside for lunch with the fam. i love this poncho i scooped up from the limited last year and this all black one is next on my list. fringe is such an easy trend to wear & it’s perfect for winter. it will look flattering on everyone and adds a touch of chic to any sweater or poncho! if you’re a bit timid to try it out the one i linked above is basic black and the fringe is subtle so try it out & let me know how you like it!

i paired it with a few basic black staples (my fav color hah) and these ah-mazing snakeskin booties. the blonde salad x steve madden collection never disappoints and these were no different. the black are totally gone but the nude version are on super sale and these black ones are so similar & on mega sale. for climates a bit less harsh than chicago i love these to wear through the winter because they give you that feel without being booties.

i must say my brand new niece loved my poncho so if it’s leyla approved you know it’s a go! hope you guys are all having a great week & i can’t wait to share some exciting news on an event i’m hosting in lincoln park later this week!

ps: don’t forget to enter the giveaway for the $400 Nordstrom gift card that ends tonight!!!
