Can you believe we are already in November? I have to say, I have been looking forward to Thanksgiving for so long! This year, we are headed to my parents house in Kentucky for the holidays and my brother and sister in law will be making the trip from Chicago too! I’m so excited to have some quality time at home with my parents and my nieces and nephew. I am so excited to have the entire family home for the holidays and enjoy a mix of relaxation and fun.
Since it’s not often we are all home, my mom is throwing a shindig over the weekend at our house. Since the actual day of Thanksgiving is pretty casual in our house – think jeans and a sweater, this look will more likely be worn over the weekend.
The holidays are the best time to indulge and I fully prepare my wardrobe for that! This gold midi skirt is a pretty matte hue and offers all kinds of stretch. I thought it paired well with a more fitted top! Have you guys seen all the new stuff from Ann Taylor? It’s so good and always on sale. I loved the ruffle detail on the sleeve of this sweater and may need to snag it in the other colors. I kept the shoes and accessories simple and understated since the skirt is a bit bold.
What kind of Thanksgiving do your families have? I am always so curious to hear if it’s more dressy or casual since every family is different! Here’s to dreaming about turkey and stuffing for the next two weeks!
