Happy first week of 2015 y’all! I’m excited to share this city guide I partnered with The Lookbook Store on to start off the new year. The online boutique has so many swoon worthy pieces it was hard to narrow my choices down & I loved stopping in some of my favorite neighborhood nooks to capture these looks. The series will last all week long and each story will highlight a new favorite place & some phenomenal clothing.

The Bucktown/Wicker Park/Ukranian Village area in Chicago is a special one. After living downtown a block off Michigan Ave the first year I moved here I knew it wasn’t for me. Although downtown is magical I am in love with the neighborhoods of Chicago. These areas are filled with artists, creatives, local eateries, boutiques, and let’s be honest tons of hipsters. One of my favorite breakfast spots is The Winchester for so many reasons. The coffee is to die for, the waffles are deceivingly scrumptious, & the aesthetic inside is perfection. You can usually find me here with a big plate of avo toast and some lady friend’s or attempting to get some work done in the corner.

i was so excited to style this varsity sweater i have been coveting for quite a while. The stripes are so chic and the fit is loose enough to allow you to indulge in a meal (so crucial) but fitted enough to give you some shape. I decided to keep it casual with my favorite distressed jeans whose holes seems to be getting larger & larger (i’m loving that) and my classic camel coat. Add some delicate gold accessories & a winter hat and you are set to enjoy your weekend!

i hope everyone had an amazing new year’s & i would love to hear your favorite spots (you know i’m always up for a new meal!)

xox,

shaheen
