My Top Beauty Buys of 2019

Good morning!

How was everyone’s Valentine’s Day? I will be honest, we are not huge Valentine’s Day people and just grabbed dinner together and watched a movie. Do you all celebrate big for the holiday? We did take a little road trip this weekend to Trevor’s parents since his twin brother was going to be in town from New Orleans with his family (his other brother lives there) and it was so fun having all 4 grandkids in the same place! All of our oldest kids were born within months of each other so it’s sweet they are all at the same age.

As for today, I was recently rifling through my beauty cabinet looking for a new moisturizer and thought it would be helpful and hopefully interesting to share a few of my favorite buys from this past year.

Elemis Cleansing Balm

I love Beautycounter’s Balm but my jar was empty and I was really wanting to try something new. I asked you all over on Instagram and this was by far the most recommended. A lot of you said you also loved the Farmacy one so I will probably try that next!

Beautycounter Brow Gel

I love a full brow and this stuff is MAGIC! I was using Benefit before but have loved this clean option. I originally had bought black but I think going a shade lighter is a better idea.

Supergoop Sunscreen

I have tried a few other brands and just keep coming back to this. It’s not greasy and don’t clog up my skin like so many others.

Ilia Lipstick

I have had a hard time finding a clean lipstick I really like until this! I rarely wear more than a gloss or nude but when I do, it’s a bold red.

SkinFix Eye Cream

Another product I have really been enjoying. I was previously using the Ole Henriksen but when the news came out about customers reactions I switched even though I had never had an issue. This one has been doing the job!

Wash Cloths

This was a purchase based off Brooklyn Blonde such a long time and still stands up to the test of time. A lot of times I will double cleanse and I love these for gently removing makeup.

Herbivore Bakuchiol

I originally bought this when we were thinking about trying for #2 and I wanted to discontinue Retinol use. Much to my delight, I love it! It’s done so much for my complexion and I love that it’s clean.

Cover FX

My favorite clean concealer I found through a Chicago makeup artist! I wear it daily and have found that it stays on all day and never gets oily.

Beautycounter Lip Gloss

Since I’m usually a low key kind of girl this is one of my most used products! It’s add the prettiest sheen without being too much and doesn’t feel sticky.

T3 Hair Dryer

I know everyone is all about the Dyson dryer but I love this T3 one! You can set the temperature, it works quickly and doesn’t damage my hair.

If you have any favorites, let me know and I hope this sheds some light on some great products!
