Our New Type Of Weekends

Just looking at that first picture has my mouth watering for another day date at NEWCITY Lincoln Park! I know I mentioned we were headed there last weekend on Instagram and shared so much of it on Snapchat but it was honestly one of the best date’s Trevor and I have had. As we have grown up we have definitely migrated from being out in bars till 2am to game nights with friends, afternoons out & earlier bed times. It may sound lame to some and I’m sure if you told me at 21 this is what I was doing I may have thought the same thing. Now, I’m honestly so happy to go out earlier enjoy new places with friends and come home early with Trevor.

NEWCITY Lincoln Park recently opened up and has been adding restaurants, stores & so much more ever since. We had been a few times before just to grab a movie but never really explored the area. On Saturday, we started our day out at Earl’s Lincoln Park and loved the space. They have outdoor fire pits, couches, and a bar and dining area. We decided to grab a table by the bar and enjoyed Eggs Benedict and these tiny delicious homemade muffins.

After that we headed to Kings Lincoln Park & literally had the time of our lives. I’m not sure if my husband & I are both little kids at heart but we had a blast bowling and playing shuffleboard. They have a ton of games to play and the bowling area is so nice you could stay there all day. I have to brag and let you guys know I did get 4 strikes in a row and no one knew what that was called, anyone?

After bowling we headed to Arc Light Cinemas to catch a movie and saw The Jungle Book. It was so good! There was a good mix of adults and families in the theater so we were happy we weren’t the only adults that wanted to see the movie. The cinematography was amazing so if you plan on seeing it I recommend going to the theater before it’s gone. We also indulged in what seemed like the largest tub of popcorn I’ve ever set my eyes on and sadly finished it, how does that always happen?

By 5pm we were exhausted and but had the best day! If you guys are in the neighborhood for a date or in town visiting I can’t recommend the area enough. We are already getting friends together for a group date there in the next few weekends. Hope you all have an amazing weekend and thank goodness for sunshine!

Come stop in to Evereve next time you are in the area! It’s a trendy boutique full of fun clothes and educated stylists to help make your shopping experience more fun! The store front faces Halsted, next to the candy store.
