Weekend brunch may be one our favorite hobbies and this orange sweater is the perfect thing to do it in. A few weeks we headed down to C Chicago in River North to try out their new prix fixe brunch menu on a Sunday afternoon. It’s so nice that the restaurant offers this options since it can be pricey otherwise. I also heard that they are starting a similar menu for dinner with wine pairings that is super affordable so keep your eyes out for that!
C Chicago is known for it’s seafood and it did not disappoint. We started with these champagne shooters which I happily had both of since Trevor doesn’t like champagne (insane, right?) We then indulged in the Benedict with fresh crab which was to die for & an egg scramble. If we weren’t full enough we sampled some of the seasonal pumpkin cheesecake and key lime pie for dessert. It’s nice to splurge on the weekends and although we just wanted to go home and take a nap after we had tons of errands to run – adulting is so over rated. I can’t wait to be done with Whole 30 this month and for it to get a bit warmer so we can enjoy weekend brunch again.
I decided to keep it casual in this chunky sweater which I have now bought in several colors because I love it so much and jeans and booties. The color just makes me so happy and these jeans are perfect for cold weather because the distressing is so thin you don’t feel any wind while outside.
I hope you guys have had a speedy week – mine has been somewhat of a cluster so I am looking forward to 5pm and relaxing this weekend. I think we may go see The Revenant, anyone seen it? Am I going to be so scared?
