happy monday y’all! this weekend was a much needed one. this past week seemed to never end with working late and having one too many events it’s easy to get overwhelmed. i’ve realized not to push myself too much this past year because the really important things end up getting put last on my priority list & i hate that. it’s a great reminder we all need sometimes that it’s okay to say no to things and put yourself first every once in a while. i’m not sure if women tend to be more accommodating or if it’s just me but i always find guilt when saying no to something and it shouldn’t be that way, anybody else?

although it was busy i had a great weekend staying in and finishing my little dining area i have been working on!!! i’m getting so excited about the finished product & can’t wait to share it with you guys. i also got to spend some much needed time with my nieces & nephew and try a few new restaurants with trevor.

i was excited to team up with Mint Julep Boutique for today’s post and can’t get enough of this popcorn knit sweater. i’m not exaggerating when i say it feels like butter and it’s the perfect length to wrap up to stay cozy and hide a meal that may have been too big. i decided to pair it with my vegan faux leather shorts and a basic tee for a relaxed but chic feel. these boots have been on constant rotation lately and i promise you will have not regret it if you snag them (nobody i know so far has haha)
