Good morning friends!
How was everyone’s weekend? I got to catch up with some girlfriends, Zain had a birthday party and Trevor and I actually made it to a friend’s birthday party. That’s three more social activities than we normally do so we made sure to rest up on Sunday ha!
I still just can’t believe that this week is Thanksgiving. In case you missed it, I had the epic debate on whether to put up our Christmas tree before or after Thanksgiving and I will say we kind of caved. We put both trees together and fluffed them (which I think is what takes forever) and are waiting to hang ornaments and decorate them till Friday. What do you all do?
Also, if you are still on the lookout for easy and healthy Thanksgiving recipes I have a ton on the blog and will be making several of them Thursday 🙂
As for today’s look it’s actually a winter take on a summer outfit I love and have worn many times. I just switched up the textures of the same style of pants, added a sweater instead of a tank and threw on these Vince Camuto closed toe heels instead of open toe heels to winterize it. I think it’s perfect for a work holiday party, friendsgiving or really anything in between!
Sometimes it’s hard to be creative with your clothes when it starts to get cold but I think doing this same thing and trying to pull inspo from previous outfits you’ve loved and adapting them to the weather by switching up textures is a great idea. Plus, I don’t need any excuse to wear these heels 🙂 I think they may be my new go to party heel. I’ve slowly become allergic to the stilettos I once wore and anything with a chunky heel and pointy toe is calling my name. I found them to run true to size and the strap stays on my heel perfectly!
I also threw on this new oxblood tote I got a few weeks ago. It comes in a pretty camel and black but I thought this color was perfect for winter and the holidays. It’s subtle enough but adds a fun pop of color to my mostly neutral outfits.
Hope you guys have a quick Monday and here’s to a short week!
