New Additions To My Beauty Routine

natural beauty products

I know I shared a few winter skin must have’s with you guys a few weeks ago and I wanted to say thank you for all the sweet feedback I got! I love sharing new products I try out with you all and am always on the hunt for new finds, so keep your recommendations coming! I just ran out of that collagen lotion I was talking about and have already restocked, it’s that good!

As of late, I have overhauled my skin products to include more natural beauty remedies since there are a few ingredients I’m no longer allowed to use while pregnant. A few of my favorite brands are Tula, Derma E, Origins and Aveda!

I try to keep my face makeup free during the week and do a lighter exfoliation and cleaning on weeknights. It’s a great time for me to catch up on masks and under eye treatments, since I’m always experimenting with those. On the weekends, I try to use more repair creams and try to fight aging as much as possible. Here are a couple new items I have been obsessing over:

Origins Maskimizer: Who knew you were supposed to apply something before a mask? I have been using this mist before my masks and it actually makes a huge difference. It primes the skin so the mask can penetrate a deeper, adhere better and soften skin. I just spray it on and pat in before application.

Derma E Hydrating Night Cream: With it being winter and my skin dying for moisture, this new hydrating line has been a godsend. I love the thickness of the night cream and it never leaves me feeling greasy. This brand is also eco-ethical and I have been loving so many of their products.

Tula Eye Cream: I have been using this one for a while and can’t say enough good things about it. I like the consistency and how it moisturizes my under eye without feeling heavy. Their products are also all natural and have never caused me an irritation.

Aveda Wedding Masque: This one is a fairly new addition to my routine, but most of their products are godsends to me so it was no surprise this one stacked up. I have been trying to use it once a week to exfoliate and clean out my pores. It’s actually a mask you leave on overnight and was inspired by the Indian tradition of applying Haldi (or tumeric) to the bride and groom before the wedding to give them glowing skin.

Derma E Purifying Oil Free Moisturizer: With pregnancy, I feel like my face has retained oil a bit more than it did before. I decided to switch up my everyday moisturizer and this one without oil has been working really well for me. It’s silk and lightweight but hydrates while detoxifying my skin. It’s great under makeup and I sometimes use it at night also.

I’ve never heard of a maskimizer! I love the name- haha! I just started using a clay mask from L’Oreal. It’s a clay and charcoal mix that’s supposed to detox and brighten skin. It smells super good. I don’t know that I ‘need’ some of the beauty products I use, but there’s something refreshing about a mask that makes me feel like I’m pampering myself. I think it’s good for the skin and the soul! 🙂

  2. I’ll have to try some of these. My OB recommend Tata Harper during pregnancy and I love it. It’s non toxic all natural and it does work1
